Jung Yong Hwa

• Jung Yong Hwa as Lee Shin  is a South Korean musician, singer-songwriter and actor.  Jung made his show business debut as “Kang Shin-woo” in the Korean drama You're Beautiful on 7 October 2009 and played the male lead as “Lee Shin” in the 2011 drama Heartstrings. Jung is the leader, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band CN Blue.

Park Shin-Hye

• Park Shin-hye as Lee Gyu Won  is a South Korean actress, singer and promotional model. She debuted in the 2003 music video "Ggot" . She is best known for the roles of "Go Mi Nam" in the television drama You're Beautiful and "Lee Gyu Won" in the 2011 drama Heartstrings. She attends Chung-Ang University.

• Song Chang Ui as Kim Suk Hyun  is a South Korean actor best known for winning the Excellence Award for Best Actor for his role as doctor Yang Tae-Sub in the SBS weekend drama Life is Beautiful. In 2005, he appeared in the film My Girl and I with Cha Tae-hyun and Song Hye-kyo. In 2011, he played stage director Kim Suk Hyun in Heartstrings also known as You've Fallen for Me
  Song is classmate of Lee Ji-ah whose name is Kim Sang Eun but he didnt know that Lee is his classmate and met again at 44th Baeksang Arts Awards where both they won for newcomer awards.

So Yi Hyun

• So Yi Hyun as Jung Yoon Soo is a ballerina and a model that posed as Kim Suk Hyun's Object of Affection in the 2011 korean drama Heartstrings.

Kang Min Hyuk

• Kang Min Hyuk as Yeo Joon Hee is a South Korean drummer, actor and singer. His name is also written as MinHyuk, Min Hyuk. He is the drummer of South Korean rock band CN Blue, which debuted in January 2010 in South Korea before that they debuted as indie band in August 2009 in Japan then made major debut in October 2011 in Japan.

Woo Ri

• Woo Ri as Han Hee Joo is the "University Queen" which posed as the leading role in the festival in the korean drama, Heartstrings.She is the subject of affection of Yeo Joon Hee. 

Lee Hyun Jin

• Lee Hyun Jin as Hyun Ki Young  is a South Korean actor and model who best known for his role as Hyun Ki Young in MBC Television series Heartstrings. Lee was originally casted as Seo Joon Suk in Brain  and he stars as Kwon Jin Won in Korean remake of Operation Proposal with Yoo Seung-hoo and Park Eun-bin aired on TV Chousn 

Im Se Mi

• Im Se Mi as Cha Bo Woon is the closest friend of the leading character, Park She Yin. She's the one who keeps on interrupting the moments between Lee Shin and Lee Gyu Won.

HEARTSTRINGS SUMMARY

THE SUMMARY

 

Lee Shin, the main character, is a university student majoring in Western Music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality, and strong passion for music. Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted and distant, but he has a soft side inside him hidden away. He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at the university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Gyu Won.

Lee Gyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in Traditional Korean Music, her instrument is the gayageum. Gyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu Won immerses herself in practice and becomes a university student who knows nothing much outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.

Yeo Joon Hee, a bumbling, shy and ever hungry boy who doesn't act his age. He has a complete child-like personality, shaggy idiot by day, gorgeous Stupid's lead drummer by night. During one of his shaggy phases during the day, he comes across University Princess and chairman's daughter, Han Hee Joo, who he immediately falls head over heels for, calling her his "Natasha." However, there are dark sides to Hee Joo's personality than his naïvety knows, and in the series, he fights between his ever-growing feelings for Hee Joo and helping his friends as she threatens their university lives.

The time when Lee Gyu Won decided to join the performance for the festival, every one sees her potential talent and this triggers Han Hee Joo's mother who plans together with Tae Joon, one of the school's administrators, to destroy Lee Gyu Won's and the Director's image for her to quit the upcoming festival in her fear that Lee Gyu Won might outshine her daughter Han Hee Joo.
